Jennifer Lassiter, JD

Jennifer Lassiter received her BA in English from San Diego State University and her Juris Doctorate from George Mason School of Law. Jennifer joined The Arc of Loudoun in April 2000 as a member of the Board of Directors, then later as its “Parent to Parent” coordinator, establishing parent support and discussion groups. In 2003, Jennifer helped start The Aurora School and served as its volunteer Director in its first year of operation. In 2005, Jennifer became the Administrative Director and began working on the Paxton project, negotiating the lease and securing funding for the expansion of The Arc of Loudoun to the Paxton campus. Since the Margaret Paxton Memorial Learning and Resource Campus was established in 2008, Jennifer has worked to expand The Aurora School programs to establish relationships with George Mason University Behavior Analyst, Education, and Psychology departments and expand the services Aurora offers to students and the community. In 2009, Jennifer also became the Associate Executive Director of The Arc of Loudoun tasked with new program development and expansion of The Aurora School on the new campus, such as a Research and Behavior Clinic, a Preschool that serves children with and without disabilities, and Transition services to help adults with disabilities live and work independently.
